Japanese: Level 9

Service Description

In this course, we will be covering chapters 20-22ish in the Genki II book! (If we don't quite finish all 3 chapters, that's okay! Keigo will be taking quite a lot of our time) Classes will take place online on Mondays and Fridays at 5pm Mountain Time. Ritomo will teach on Mondays, and Mandy will teach on Fridays. Lessons will be recorded so if students miss a lesson, they can review it later. Students are expected to complete about 1-2 hours of homework per lesson. Homework will be given feedback between sessions. These are our tentative learning goals Chapter 20 - KEIGO AGAIN (This time to humble yourself) - Real Life Keigo Script Project - ないで (without) - Questions within Larger Sentences - Name という item - Vstemやすい・Vstemにくい - Kanji - Stories! Chapter 21 - Passive Form - てある (left in the state of...) - 〜間に (while) - Adjective+する - て＋ほしい - Kanji - Stories! Chapter 22 (If we get to it, but no rush) - Causative Form - Causitive+あげる・くれる・もらう - Vstem+なさい - 〜ば form - のに　(even though) - のように・のような (Like) The pace of the class is medium. Students should expect to spend about 4-5 hours per week (including the classes) on Japanese to stay on top of everything! Students will need to spend time completing homework and memorizing new words/kanji between classes. See you in class!
