Service Description

This course will cover chapters 15-16 (and maybe 17, depending on our collective speed) of the Genki II textbook. Please be sure this is the correct level for you. If at any time, you feel this class is not right for you, please let us know, and you can transfer into another level. Classes are recorded and posted later for students to see. If you are unable to make it to class sometimes, don't worry! You can watch the recording afterwards! This class will take place on Sundays and Thursdays at 6pm Mountain Time. Ritomo will teach the Sunday classes, and Mandy will teach the Thursday classes. Our goal is to be thorough. We want to go quickly enough to feel challenged, but not so fast that the content doesn't have enough time to sink in. We will determine the pace of the class collaboratively. Concepts to be covered: Chapter 15 - Volitional Form (Kind of like "let's" but casual - ておく (to go ahead and......) - Full sentences describing nouns. - Kanji Chapter 16 - てくれる・〜てあげる・〜てもらう - ていただけませんか (Can I please get you to....) - といい (I hope) - とき (when (hard mode)) - Kanji Chapter 17 (We may not compete this. Depends on our pace) - そうです (I hear) - って (quotes) - たら (If/when) - なくてもいい (it's ok if you don't....) - みたい (like) - 前に・てから (before and after) - Kanji
