Service Description

This course will go over chapters 22 and 23 of the Genki textbook series. Thus, completing our Genki journey! Hurray! You will have a great foundation to finally begin enjoying native Japanese materials. Classes will run Mondays and Fridays at 5pm mountain time (Alberta). Please check your time zones! Also, Canada seems like it's mostly going to not do time-changes anymore, so we'll have to talk about how to deal with that and see how much demand there is for doing a time change or not. Once we complete the book, we will take whatever time leftover to solidify your knowledge with fun communicative activities. Our learning goals: Chapter 22 - Causative form ("to make" or "to let" someone do something) - Verbstemなさい (Mom voice) - ばform (again) - のに ("even though") - のように・のような (yet another "like") - Some Kanji - A story Chapter 23 - Causative-passive form. (It's as bad as it sounds) - ても ("even if") - にする（making decisions) -まで(until) - Verbstemかた (the way of) - some kanji - a story DONE!! No more Genki! After this, we can choose our own adventure. We have plenty of class activities we've created that are designed to get students to produce spontaneous language and solidify what they have!
